中国学者英文学术论文中连接词的母语迁移——基于对比语料库的研究

Abstract:

语言迁移是二语习得过程中一种重要的语言现象,有正向迁移、负向迁移、侧向迁移三种现象,中文和英文分属于两种不同的语言体系,其连接词的使用情况有很大的不同,因此基于这一现象,建立中国学习者语料库和英语本族语学者语料库,进行对比分析。运用语料库检索软件AntConc,对所建语料库进行检索,对检索结果进行定量分析。研究表明:中国大学生英语学习者在连词的使用上有很大的非母语特征,有一定的母语负迁移。基于此,对未来的英语教学提出建议,即教师在开展英语教学活动时,应该注重文章的语篇连贯。同时,在讲解英语词汇时,帮助学生了解词汇的使用语境。
Language transfer is a vital language phenomenon in second language acquisition. There are three kinds of phenomena: forward transfer, negative transfer, and lateral transfer. Chinese and English belong to two different language systems, and their use of conjunctions is very different. The use of Chinese and English conjunctions is very different. Therefore, based on this phenomenon, a Chinese Scholar Corpus and a Native English Scholar Corpus are established for comparative analysis. The corpus retrieval software AntConc is used to search the corpus and analyze the retrieval results quantitatively. The study shows that Chinese Scholar has many non-native characteristics in conjunctions and some negative native language transfer. Based on this, suggestions are proposed for future English teaching. The suggestions are that teachers should focus on the coherence of texts when conducting English teaching activities. Also, when explaining English vocabulary, help students understand the context in which the vocabulary is used.
