简评《以高等教育院校录取为目的的学术英语测评》

Abstract:
对于席小明和Norris共同编撰的《以高等教育院校录取为目的的学术英语测评》(笔者自译),本篇文章基于以下五个问题进行了评价和思考:1) 什么类型的读者适合阅读本书?2) 本书是如何定义英文学术能力的?3) 本书是如何看待“语用环境和语域”等因素对于英语测评的影响的?4) 本书提倡了什么样的任务测评设计模型?5) 本书是如何展望未来的学术英语测评的?
This article reviews and reflects on Assessing Academic English for Higher Education Admissions written and compiled by Xiaoming Xi and John Norris, based on the following five questions: 1) What kinds of readers this book may be of interest to? 2) How does this book define the construct of English language proficiency? 3) How does this book evaluate the impact of “language context and domain” on English language assessment? 4) What kinds of task designing modes related to language assessment does this book propose? 5) How does this book forecast the prospects of Academic English language assessment?
