新时代背景下，医学类高等本科院校，为深化医学教育教学改革，在少数民族地区，面对教学师资等资源不充足、传统医学理论单一等问题，发挥传统民族医学、医药特色，融合各基础学科，发展改革教育教学方案，探索创新性教学方法，运用新媒体“互联网+”平台等资源，整合教师力量紧跟学科前沿进展，培养全面的高水平复合型医学类人才。在教育改革实践过程中，因地制宜，摸索出少数民族地区高等医学院校卓越医学人才培养的新方案。
