中美领导人演讲中的元话语标记使用对比研究——以2017年APEC演讲为例
A Comparative Study on the Use of Meta Discourse in Chinese and American Leaders’ Speeches—Based on the 2017 APEC Speech

元话语是组织语篇结构、表达态度和构建作者(说话人)与读者(听众)之间关系的重要手段。采用Hyland的“引导–互动”模式下的元话语标记分类对习近平主席和特朗普总统2017年APEC演讲中的元话语标记进行分析，比较二者的异同点。研究发现二者人际互动元话语标记的使用均高于文本交互元话语标记的使用。另外，特朗普总统2017年APEC演讲中元话语标记的使用高于习近平主席2017年APEC演讲中元话语的使用。造成元话语标记使用差异的原因是中英语言特征、语法结构、思维方式的差异。希望通过此种对比分析，阐明元话语在不同语言中的使用差异，丰富元话语的跨语言研究，深化元话语使用的重要性。
Metadiscourse has been paid much attention by scholars in recent years. Hyland’s “Guid-ing-Interaction” model was used to analyze the metadiscourse in Xi’s and Trump’s APEC speeches in 2017 to compare the similarities and differences between the two speeches. The results show that the use of interactional metadiscourse markers is higher than that of interactive metadiscourse. In addition, the use of metadiscourse in President Trump’s 2017 APEC speech is higher than that in President Xi’s 2017 APEC speech. The reasons for the differences in the use of metadiscourse are the differences in language features, grammatical structures and ways of thinking between Chinese and English. Through such a comparative analysis, this study hopes to enrich the cross-language research of metadiscourse, and help people better understand the importance of metadiscourse and the differences in the use of metadiscourse in different languages.
