试论《木兰诗》翻译策略对木兰形象传译之影响

Abstract:
《木兰诗》巧妙地运用了汉语的修辞特点，在有限的文字内刻画了细腻的人物心理，塑造了具有东方特色的女性木兰形象。但由于英汉语言及文化的差异，《木兰诗》的英文译文难以达到这种艺术效果。在对拟声词、文化语境、句法结构的处理上，尽管译者采取了具体化、补偿、改写句法结构等翻译策略，但英译文中的木兰形象还是或多或少地偏离了原诗，从而给木兰形象的海外传译带来一定的影响。
Poem of Mulan ingeniously presents a filial girl’s mental world and shapes a female image with oriental characteristics. However, owing to the differences between languages and cultures, it is hard to represent the same mental world and reshape the image in English. Although translators adopt different strategies in dealing with onomatopoeia, cultural context and sentence patterns, the image of Mulan in English translations deviates more or less from the original text, which in-fluences overseas dissemination of Mulan’s image.
