模因与标识语的英译——以兰州市为例
On C-E Translation of Public Signs from the Perspective of Memetics: A Case Study of Lanzhou

标识语的英译面向外宾，其规范程度展现了我国文明开放程度和文化水平。以定性研究和举例分析相结合的方法，分析标识语英译的错误，并运用模因论与翻译模因论，尝试寻求标识语英译的恰当方法。将标识语英译看作模因的复制和传播过程，试图在规范模因的指导下，探讨兰州市内标识语的英译是否符合期待规范和专业规范，并尝试归纳不同类型标识语的翻译技巧。研究认为，运用翻译模因指导标识语翻译有助于进一步实现标识语的功能，规范标识语英译。
C-E translation of public signs is mainly for foreigners; hence, the norms and standards of translations will demonstrate the civilization and literacy level of China. Analyzing the errors of C-E translation of public signs in Lanzhou by combining qualitative research and exemplification to seek for the proper method and make C-E translation more significant under the method of memetics and translation memetics, the translating process of public signs can be regarded as the replicating and propagating process of memes, aiming to discuss whether the C-E translation of public signs in Lanzhou conforms to expectancy norms and professional norms under the guidance of norm memes. Besides, the paper intends to conclude some skills for translating different categories of public signs by memes. The research shows that, using translation memetics helps further achieve the functions of signs and normalize the translation of public signs in Lanzhou.
