Abstract:

心理词汇理论就是研究词汇是怎样存储在记忆中和怎样提取出来的。心理词汇理论认为,听力理解就是一个通过词汇的语音表征来激活其语义表征的过程,词汇的提取在这个过程中起着关键性的作用。在英语教学中,教师要不断加强学生的心理词汇的深度和广度,帮助他们扩大英语词汇量,克服词汇量不足造成的词汇障碍问题。教师在教学中应加大高频常用词的讲解和训练,帮助学生们逐渐培养语感并积极构建语义网络,提高他们在听力理解中的词汇提取速度。教师应引导学生重视语境在词汇提取中的重要作用,提升他们的信息传递和沟通能力,有效增强他们在听力理解中的信息处理能力。在教学中,教师应当不断改进教学方式,指导学生加强语音、语调的习得,注重词汇音形义的结合。
The theory of mental lexicon refers to the study about how words are stored in human memory and how they are extracted. According to it, listening comprehension is a process in which people may activate the semantic representation of words through their phonetic representation. In English teaching, teachers should try to help the students enlarge their English vocabulary. In this way, the students may be likely to overcome the barrier caused by the deficiency of words and lay a good foundation of listening learning. Teachers should enhance the explanation and drill of the high-frequency words and help the students cultivate their sense of language and actively construct their semantic network of words. Teachers should also help the students know the importance of contexts in extracting words from memory, trying to improve their abilities of information transmitting and processing. In listening teaching, teachers should guide the students to strengthen the acquisition of pronunciation and intonation, paying much attention to the combination of words’ pronunciation, spelling and meaning.
