毕业典礼演讲中的人际功能分析——以蒂姆？库克2018年在杜克大学毕业演讲《无所畏惧》为例
Interpersonal Function Analysis in Graduation Speech—A Case Study with Tim Cook’s 2018 Graduation Speech Fearless at Duke University

演说是一种实用性很强的语体，演说话动是人类交际中的一种重要活动。本文立足于韩礼德系统功能语法中的人际功能理论，对杜克大学福库商学院优秀校友、现任苹果公司CEO蒂姆？库克在母校的毕业典礼演讲进行分析，目的在于揭示演讲者如何通过语气系统、情态系统和人称系统三个方面话语的选择来实现演讲语篇的人际功能，进而达到演讲目的。为了更好地理解该毕业演讲，并揭示其中蕴含的人际意义，本文拟采用定性研究的方法，从语气、情态和人称三方面分析苹果公司现任CEO蒂姆？库克2018年在杜克大学所做的毕业演讲，具体研究问题包含两个：一是该演讲在语气系统、情态系统、人称选用上有什么特征；二是这些特征在演讲者实现人际功能过程中是怎样发挥作用的。
Speech is a practical language style, and speech movement is an important activity in human communication. Based on the theory of interpersonal function in Halliday’s systematic functional grammar, this paper analyzes the graduation speech of Tim Cook, an outstanding alumni of The Fuqua School of Business and CEO of Apple company, in order to reveal how the speaker can achieve the purpose of speech by realizing the interpersonal function of the speech discourse through the choice of words in tone, modality and personal system. In order to better understand the graduation speech and reveal the interpersonal significance, this paper intends to use qualitative research method to analyze the graduation speech made by Tim Cook. The research includes two questions: first, what the characteristics of mood system, modality system, and personal perspective in the speech are; second, how these characteristics play a role in the process of realizing interpersonal function.
