生态翻译视域下唐诗意象词翻译策略研究——以许译《唐诗三百首》中咏物寄兴诗为例

Abstract:
唐诗作为中国优秀传统文化的代表，在促进文化传播、增进文化交流方面有着重要价值。而在唐诗英译过程中，意象词因其承载着浓厚的中国文化特色，成为翻译的难点之一。本文以生态翻译学为理论依据，在“适应与选择”的视角和“三维转换”的方法指导下，以许渊冲英译《唐诗三百首》中咏物寄兴诗为研究对象，从语言维、文化维和交际维三个方面，对该类诗中意象词英译过程中所采取的翻译方法和技巧进行分析、归类和评价，以探讨生态翻译学对唐诗翻译的适用性和参考性。
As a representative of Chinese excellent traditional culture, Tang poetry has an important value in promoting cultural dissemination and enhancing cultural exchange. In the process of translating Tang poems into English, the imagery of Tang poems has become one of the difficulties because of the strong cultural characteristics it carries. Based on the theory of eco-translatology, this article takes the poems in Xu Yuanchong’s English translation of The Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty as the object of study under the perspective of “adaptation and selection” and the method of “three-dimensional transformation”. This study analyzes, categorizes and evaluates the translation methods adopted in the English translation of the imagery in these poems, in order to explore the applicability and reference of ecological translation to the translation of Tang poems.
