科勒等值理论视角下《资治通鉴》中类比语篇的英译分析
An Analysis of the Analogy in Zizhi Tongjian and Their English Translation from the Perspective of Warner Koller’s Equivalence Theory

中国典籍中的类比推理展现了古汉语的思维方式和逻辑映射。类比翻译是典籍翻译的一个重要环节，如何将这种类比推理方式正确引入目标语，并引起目标语读者的情感共鸣，是类比翻译面临的重要挑战。研究从科勒的翻译等值理论视角出发，以《资治通鉴》中的三种类比方式，“属性类比”，“关系类比”和“结构类比”为研究对象，基于张磊夫的《资治通鉴》英译本，分析了译者在英译类比手法时运用的翻译策略倾向和达到的效果。研究结果表明，译者在英译类比语篇时达到了不同程度的对等，体现了源语的文化意象，增加了译文可读性和可接受性，对中国传统的类比推理外译具有借鉴意义。
The using of analogy in Chinese classics shows the thinking mode and logical mapping of ancient Chinese. The translation of analogical discourse is an important part of the translation of classics. How to introduce this analogy discourse into the target language correctly and arouse the emotional resonance of the target language readers is an important challenge for translation. From the perspective of Koller’s translation equivalence theory, this paper takes three kinds of analogy in Zizhi Tongjian, namely, attributive analogy, relational analogy and structural analogy as the research object. Based on Rafe D. C. Tr.’s English translation of Zizhi Tongjian, this paper analyzes the tendency of using different translation strategies and the effect that translators use in the analogy of English translation. The results show that translators have achieved different degrees of equivalence in English translation of analogical discourse, reflecting the cultural images of the source language, increasing the readability and acceptability of the translation, which is of reference significance for the traditional Chinese analogical reasoning translation.
