Determination of Antioxidant Properties of Olive Leaves Grown in Different Regions in HatayKeywords: Zeytin yapra??,toplam fenolik madde,antioksidan aktivite,dpph Abstract: In this study; antioxidant activities of metanol extracts of olive leaf (Olea eueopaea) which is grown in different parts of Hatay were determined. Total phenolic contents were determined by the Folin-Ciocaltaeu method. The other methods used to determine the antioxidant characteristics were 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging method, ferric ion reducing power (FRAP) and β-carotene-linoleic acid emulsion method. The results were compared with the standard antioxidants butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). It was determined that olive leaves in all regions examined had antioxidant activity
