THE ULTIMATE INDEPENDENT REASONING ‘’IJTIHAD’’ IN THE 4TH CENTURY H: FOR EXAMPLE, AL-KHATTABI

This study handles the subject of Independent Reasoning “Ijtihad’’, and it assures the fact that the Ultimate Independent Reasoning is continuous and unclosed. I have approved that depending on al-Imam Abu Suleiman al-Khattabi’s the Ultimate Independent Reasoning samples, who passed away in 388 H. I have shown that al-Khattabi is an independent and indisputable ‘’Mujtahid” Imam in his origins and branches and the claim that he joined Shafi'ischool is false. I have approved that by two things: First, al-Imam al-Khattabi’s talk in his books shows that he is independent. Second, his jurisprudence in the doctrinal branches where he was against al-Imam al-Shafi’i in particular and Shafi’I school in general. I concluded my study with samples from those doctrinal branches that assure his judgmental independence
