Analysis of Busbar Distribution Systems as Data Transmission Line

Smart grid aims a network infrastructure managing and controlling processes from energy generation to final consumption . Thus, effective use of information and communication technologies in this field is essential. Since the low-voltage network is an endpoint that met with consumers, it has a great importance in the intelligent network architecture. As busbar energy distribution system is an important part of the modern power distribution grid, it needs to be analyzed in terms of power line communications. In this study, the busbar distribution system was analyzed as a transmission line and examined as a broadband data transmission medium. Using the measured S-parameters, the primary and secondary transmission line parameters for busbars at different current levels are obtained
