A Content Analysis on the Reproduction of Parody, Irony, and Absurd in Postmodern Context in the Example of Zaytung

Parody, irony, and absurd are the most important humorous style techniques of postmodern texts. In the ironic expression, the discrepancy between the what is expressed in the text and the meant phenomenon forms the humorous expression. On the other hand, parody means that a discourse or text revealed before is reconstructed and have a ridiculous context. In other words, parody is a satirical reproduction that is revealed by changing a serious matter in a humorous way in terms of style and content. Absurd causes the whole statement or text to have a completely exaggerated and nonsense appearance. Based on the example of Zaytung, the postmodern humor style in which all these are used together generated the humorous examples of expression in which the newsworthy facts are rearranged. Zaytung, which is a humorous news site dealing with the developments on Turkey's agenda in a parodical, ironic, and absurd way, presents a humorous criticism by reinterpreting the news in a humorous expression.
