Abstract:

Aim of this study is find the relationships between gifted students’ learning strategy preferences and their individual characteristics. 257 gifted students attending Science Art Centre, which is an after school activity center for gifted and talented, participated into the study. Data were collected by Learning Strategy Scale. In this study, whether the students’ learning strategy preferences change according to their age, gender, grade levels and duration of attendance to Science and Art Centre. It is found that age, gender, grade levels have a meaningful effect on learning strategy preferences, but duration of attendance to Science and Art Centre is not a meaningful variable on learning strategy preferences
