A STUDY ON THE COMPARISON OF FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY IN TURKEY PARTICIPATION BANKS

First established as a private financial institutions, and in particular to the organization that conducts banking activities in the private financial sector showing further improvement with funds from the Middle East was named after the 1980s, participation banks in Turkey in 2005. Due to the religious beliefs, the participation banks operating under the principle of interest-free finance played an important role in bringing the resources of the savings holders out of the system into the economic system. In this study, data from 2016-2017 for five years from active participation banks in Turkey were used. These data were analyzed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In the analysis, data were interpreted as input and output oriented according to BCC-CCR methods. In addition, the Malmquist productivity index, which compared the two years, was also used to give a dynamic dimension to the static DEA. Kuwait Turkish Participation Bank as a result of the analyzes conducted between 5 participation banks in Turkey were found to be as efficient banks by 2 methods 2 years.
