Tendencies of Rural Producer to Soil Analysis Province Center in Tokat

In this research, soil analysis applications over producers in District of Tokat Province have been determined in 2018. Investigation data cover surveys made to 88 cultivators. 94.32% of the producers were male and the average age was 51.48. Most of the producers were primary school graduates. The average monthly agricultural income of the producers was 1842.14 TL and the total monthly income of the non-agricultural family (salary etc.) was calculated as 1958.52 TL. According to the data obtained, 80.68% of the producers do not have soil analysis. Producers generally think that soil analysis is useful, but it has been demonstrated by this research that it relies on its own experience rather than conducting soil analysis for its own land. It was determined that more than half of the producers interviewed within the scope of the study were not informed about soil analysis beforehand. This does not reach a significant information to the producer and indirectly explains the fact that the producer does not undertake the soil analysis necessary to protect the soil. Based on this result, the necessary institutions and organizations should pay more attention to the necessary information policies, and they should be included in the visual-written media
