Scientific Concentration Fields and Bibliometrics Networks in Süleyman Demirel University Publications

Bibliometric analysis is an important tool to create scientific research and publication policies at both institutional and country level. All major scientific indicators are predominantly based on information obtained through publication and citation statistics and advanced bibliometric methods. In this study, the publications Süleyman Demirel University in SCI, SSCI and AHCI indexes from the date of 1992 until 2016 are evaluated by social network analysis method in terms of bibliometric characteristics. The aim of the research is to determine the areas concentrated on the publications of Süleyman Demirel University between 1992 and 2016, the research trends that stand out in scientific studies, and the universities and institutions that collaborate in the country and abroad. Co-authored networks and collaborative research groups were visualized by CiteSpace and UCINET social networking software to evaluate the publications produced by Süleyman Demirel University. Furthermore, it is aimed to contribute to the efforts of create a scientific publication policy in Süleyman Demirel University, by determining institutions and research areas with strong positions within network structures according to centrality measures
