USA “Central Intelligence Agency” Activities in Syria in the Historical Process and the Effects of These Activities on Regional Security

The Syrian Civil War has been enduring between the Assad regime and the oppositions since 2011. The oppositions in Syria are composed of different groups with different aims. The United States of America (USA), the Russian Federation, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Hezbollah, Syria, Britain and France have all been involved in the civil war. However, the most relevant actor is undoubtedly the United States. The US has forged an alliance with PKK/PYD/YPG terrorist group in Syria. Moreover, the US carried out various operations in Syria through the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This article evaluates CIA operations in Syria and deliberates the effects of these operations on regional security
