Golden Lustre on Ceramics with Spraying MethodKeywords: Seramik,Lüster,Püskürtme Lüsteri,Alt?n Lüster,Demir (III) klorür Abstract: Lustre, in ceramics and glass field, is a thin, cupreous- golden iridescent film composed of metal nanoparticles on a glassy surface. During history, many lustres application methods have been revealed and applied like: Pigment lustres, In-glaze lustres, Resinate lustres, Fuming and Spray lustres. In order to obtain the gold color with the Luster technique, pigment luster, in-glaze lusters, and resinate lustres are applied, and precious metal compounds such as silver, platinum and gold are used.In this study, it was researched how the spraying method is applied to obtain the luster effect and how to obtain the gold-luster effect with the iron (III) chloride to make the luster technique more economical. Test tablets which made of different clays were prepared for the experiments. Variable factores such as base glaze, application temperature and application methods were experimented on these tablets. Iron (III) chloride prepared as an aqueous mixture, It was applied at varying intervals of 550-850 ° C using different spraying methods. The luster effect obtained on the test plates was evaluated based on all variable factores. As a result, iron (III) chloride showed a homogeneous distribution by spraying with pistole in the range of 650-750 °C. Very strong golden-iridescent luster effect was obtained on white opaque or white bodies which glazed with translucent glazes
