The Relationship Between Organizational Silence and Organizational Happiness Levels of School Principals and Teachers: The Sample of ？anl？urfa Province

As one of the most experienced organizations in communication, the concept of asociality emerges as a situation in which managers and teachers avoid sharing some information. When silence becomes collective within the organization, it can change the organization climate and affects health. For this reason, it is considered to be important for individuals to add voice to their organization. Individuals being free from negative emotions within the organization in which they are, define the concept of organizational happiness. Determining the relationship between these two important concepts and take the necessary measures managerially in the presence of such a relationship, will benefit the life of the organization. The purpose of this study is to identify organizational silence and organizational happiness levels of school administrators and teachers as well as determining the relationship between these two concepts. Levels of organizational silence and organizational happiness were examined according to various demographic characteristics of the participants. Kahveci and Demirtas (2013a) developed the 'Organizational Silence Scale' used in the research. Another scale used is the 'Organizational Happiness Scale' adapted into Turkish by Arslan and Polat (2017), which was initally developed by Paschoal and Tamayo (2008) in Portuguese and then translated into English. The research was carried out with 346 teachers and school administrators working in primary and secondary schools in the official schools of ？anl？urfa province. According to the findings; the relationship between organizational silence and organizational happiness was negative and significant (r = - 35, p<0.01)
