Responsibilities Of The Parties To The Convention On The Carriage Of Passengers By Sea

In this article, the responsibilities of the carrier and the passenger who are the Parties to the contract in the contract of carriage by sea. Within the scope of the review, firstly, the Parties to the Convention were dealt with separately and their responsibilities were discussed. In this context, the responsibility of the carrier due to its importance has been examined by making the distinction between the real carrier and sub-carrier. The type of liability of the real carrier and the sub-carrier is divided into two types, contractual and non-contractual (tort) liability. Later, the conditions of liability were examined. In the end, the faulty responsibility and objective responsibility has been addressed
