ELECTRONIC-ELECTRIC METER DATA READ WITH EMBEDDED SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT BOARDS FROM OPTIC PORT

The Automatic Meter Reading System (AMR) is a system that includes necessary software, hardware and communication infrastructure to be installed in order to automatically read meter data remotely, transfer data to a central system, verify, fill in missing data, store data, Its use in electric networks is outside of the standard electricity meter system, which is not compatible with the increasingly widespread AMR (Automatic Meter Reading). The change of the counters causes both cost increase and unnecessary big loss due to separation of the counters which can be adapted to the AMR system at lower cost. In this work, the module on the Monophasic electronic electricity meters is designed to adapt to the embedded system development cards (Arduino) which can read from the optical port. As a result of the work, meters can be communicated with embedded system development cards thanks to RS232 converter which can communicate with electronic-electricity meter. The data of the electronic-electricity meter is transferred to the computer environment through the module designed in accordance with IEC 62056-21 protocol
