DEN？ZL？ HEALTH SERVICES AND INSTITUTIONS IN THE FIRST YEAR OF THE REPUBLIC (1923-1938)

The Services provided by health institutions and organizations, preventive public health practices and methods for combating diseases are among the indicators that are important for determining the development levels of countries. Turkey as well as in other areas in the health field with the proclamation of the Republic has also entered into a comprehensive study. In 1923-1938 period, which is also known as the Atatürk period, the health institutions and organizations were gradually increased in all corners of the country and the health services were reached to the level of civilized nations. In this direction, in Denizli, one of the most beautiful cities of Anatolia, various health institutions and establishments has been established since the first years of the Republic, the lack of materials and personnel of the Denizli National Hospital has been eliminated and epidemic diseases seen in the region have also been struggled. With this study, the general health structure of Denizli, the health centers and institutions operating in the city center and districts and the epidemic diseases seen in the region have been examined in detail since the first years of the Republic
