Tourism and Food Consumption: A Bibliometric Analysis on International Literature

The research aims at investigating the food consumption which has become a popular topic in tourism in recent years by using bibliometric analysis method. 265 studies reached by searching the "Tourism" and "Food Consumption" words on Web of Science database constitute the sample of the research. The data were analyzed in four main titles, as publication information, keyword analysis, citation information and country co-operation via the Citespace II bibliometric analysis program. The findings show that the number of publications in this area has increased after 2010s; Tourism Management is the journal with the most publication in this area; experiences and local food keywords are often studied. Eric Cohen is the author who gets the most references in this topic; Kim et al. (2009)'s work is also the most cited work in this area. The most productive country is England; China is the most central country that plays a key role in researches
