COMPARISON OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AND TURKEY IN THE SCOPE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE INDEX

Like other creatures, human beings have shaped their lives according to nature. Since this form of life is subject to nature, which is the source of life, it poses a threat neither on humanity nor on the world or nature. However, mankind has begun to abandon this form of life gradually in the 1800s, manipulated the relationship with nature for its own sake. As a result, we are faced with notions like global warming, desertification, melting of glaciers, floods and famine. It has been understood that this form of life is not sustainable and international efforts are being made to protect the environment. The European Union is the most important authority of this effort on international level.
