Hospitals in the Islamic World

In this review, the book titled “Hospitals in the Islamic World” by Levent Ozturk was examined. In this book, the author claimed that the hospitals were established during the Abbasid period, contrary to the general view the hospitals were built during the Umayyad period. He suggests that the hospitals were constructed under the contributions of the Christian Physicians. This research mainly explores the establishment of the hospitals to the 12th century
