CONFLICT AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT IN HEALTH INSTITITIONSKeywords: ?at??ma,?at??ma y?netimi,sa?l?k kurumlar? Abstract: Conflict is a social phenomenon that exists in everyday life and business life. The science of management and also other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, anthropology and economics are interested in conflict management issues. This concept, which has begun since people started to live together, reveals that there are differences, contradictions and negativities, as there are similarities, partnerships and compromises between individuals, groups and societies. As a word, conflict means, disagreement, non-conformity, distress, hostility and anxiety. Earlier studies in the management literature emphasized that conflict to be avoided and stated as a negative situation to be eliminated. Subsequent studies have shown that conflict is an inevitable fact for organizations and that if this situation is well managed, it can be used for the benefit of the organization and the employee. Health institutions, especially hospitals, compared to other organizations in terms of structural and operational differences, occupational, educational and statutory differences of health professionals, and the relationship between activities in hospitals, such as multilateral and synchronized because of the reasons such conflicts can occur frequently. In this sense, it is important to examine the issue of conflict management in health organizations. In the light of relevant literature, this paper aimed to assess the causes of conflicts and provide solutions for functional conflict management in health institutions
