Abstract:

Leadership, which is considered as a social impact process, in the most general sense; it is defined as the ability and ability to drive and manage people. Classical leadership approaches can no longer meet today's leadership needs. Because the qualities, possibilities and environments of both the leader and the followers have changed. It is also stated that a leader's chance of success is possible by adapting to changing conditions rather than applying all the principles of leadership. Nowadays, "Whatever the environment, certain leadership styles are always good and effective" opinion rather than lead the society to society, from culture to culture is even widespread opinion may vary from sector to sector. However, it can be said that societies will more easily adopt leaders who are close to their own culture styles, and this will positively affect the organizations which are a building block of society. Paternalist leadership is one of the most important research subjects of this approach. One of the reasons for the importance of paternalist leadership is that this leadership model, which is seen as a result of paternalist culture in Southeast Asian countries, which has an increasing importance in the world economy, is widely seen. Leadership models that can be applied in health care institutions are among the important health management topics investigated until now. Because many of the problems experienced in health organizations , as in other organizations, are based on the lack of good management of these organizations. The solution of these problems can be provided by leaders who are adapted to the field, organization and society. Today, when changes are experienced quickly and the society is conscious, it is possible that health organizations can demonstrate their modern management approach and that they have an interactive, human-oriented and innovative leadership. In this study, the paternalist understanding of leadership areas required for effective and efficient management of health institutions and the effects of this understanding on health enterprises were examined
