The Mosque of Kibrislar Village: Architectural Analysis of an Appropriated Church in The Rural Areas of KozanKeywords: Tarihi Yap?lar,Kilise,Cami,Adana,K?br?slar K?yü Abstract: The Mosque of K?br?slar Village stands as a research worthy example that is assessed in the scope of a scientific project investigating religious building transformations -mainly appropriated churches- within the borders of Adana province. The preliminary literature survey reveals that the mosque has not been subject to any scientific study to date, and that it accommodates traces of several historical periods, which may shed light on the archaeology of Cilicia region. The sole document about the mosque is the inventory form prepared when it was registered as a second degree monumental building by the decision of the Regional Board of the Preservation of Cultural Assets of Adana dated 23.08.2012 and numbered 1226. The study comprise of the documentation of current situation of the building through measured drawings, its architectural analysis, assessment of functional and structural changes throughout its timeline by investigating the physical, geographical and historical characteristics of the region and examining the structures showing similar architectural features in the region. The study concludes with the suggestions for the conservation of the building
