Investigation of Effects of Children's Playgrounds on the Development of Primary School Students: The Case of Düzce Cumhuriyet Primary School

In this study, the use periods of playgroups by primary school children, and their effect on the development of children were determined for the playground in the park next to the Düzce Cumhuriyet Primary School with students sampled from the school. Type of playing of primary school children varies by the class of children, and children who have more time to play group games demonstrate greater success in their courses and social skills It was also observed that children who prefer individual games are more prone to debating. As a result, as children become older, they start playing the games that they themselves construct instead of playing with the types of plays designed in the parks. Therefore, it is recommended that playgrounds in the park are designed to take into account of children's creativity
