Art and music as a sub-branch of art are being considered as an important way for individuals to comply the world around them with their culture and a way for increasing the life quality of a society. Music is a universal language which has social, cultural, economical and educational aspects. Music helps individuals, societies and countries to develop different aesthetics which is effected by other variables such as family, age, education and cultural values. Music listening habits are formed by family, friends and other popular variables as well as education life. Student-teachers music listening habits are important to be investigated because their habits will influence the prosperity's music listening habits. The purpose of this study to investigate music listening habits of student-teacher. The results of this study will shed light on the music listening habits of education faculty students who have different background and hometowns. Moreover, the results will help us to understand the music listening habits of a certain age group which is 18-22.The participants of this study are the students who were studying in Kutahya Dumlup？nar University in 2015-2016 education year. The results showed that the participants prefer Turkish Pop Music followed by Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music. In addition, the internet is being used as primary music listening source and their knowledge of Turkish Folk Music is average
