Iqama As a Form of Turk？sh Music

The main objective of this study is to prove that Iqama which is a part of the text of Adhan is a distinct form of Turkish Religion Music. A total of 8 performances from two selatin mosques and two other Mosques were taken as research samples. By analysing the maqams (system of melody types) of the performances the differences between two forms were determined. To this end, the distinct structure of Iqama was tried to be explained with the related resource support.
