CULTURAL VALUES OF TOURISM EMPLOYEES: A RESEARCH IN HOSPITALITY ORGANIZATIONSKeywords: Kültürel De?erler, Turizm ?al??anlar?, Konaklama ??letmeleri, ?rgütsel Psikoloji Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to contribute to the organizational psychology literature in tourism by examining cultural values of hotel employees. The research population is employees except for managers in 5 star hotels operating all year in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya. Frequency distributions and factor analysis were used for the analysis of data from 481 participants via questionnaire. As a result of factor analysis, it has been found that hospitality employees have highly collectivism, uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation; moderately masculinity and low power distance. The fact that hospitality employees have low power distance is the most striking finding of this research. These findings are the main outcome of this research. However the limited number of empirical investigations in this fieldis prevents healthy interpretations of such findings.
