Dream Interpretation From Integrative Psychotherapy Perspective; Case Report: Nergis Case

The dreams have been continually examined from prehistoric times to day-to-day as an interesting and mysterious subject. The interest of the science of psychology in dreaming began in the 1900’s. After this period, the efforts of explaining the mechanisms of dreams and their functions in psychologically and neurophysiologically way were entered. In recent years, it is frequently emphasized that dreams are an indispensable value in the practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis treatment (Mancia, 1999; Grenell, 2004). Holistic psychotherapy practices are often spoken about dreams during the therapy sessions and the interpretation of dreams becomes even more important for an accurate counseling process. In this study, discussed about the analysis of dreams brought to the holistic psychotherapy sessions and this study are aimed to illustrate the process of dreams analysis with a case study
