Intertextual Progress？v？ty of Photos ？n Yedi ？klim Türk？e Textbooks at Level B1

Foreign language textbooks contain texts of different genres. Because different texts contains different language structures and communication possibilities. One of the text types included in these textbooks is also the photo. Intoday's linguistics, photography is accepted as a text. Because photography has a communicative function like other text types. In addition, photographs, like other types of text, have a message. Therefore, photographs can be examined with textual methods. The aim of this research is to try to describe the intertextual progressivity of texts in Yedi ？klim Türk？e (Yunus Emre Enstitüsü) textbooks. For this purpose, photographs in textbooks at level B1 have been examined. Photography is the object of research in this study, and intertextuality is the focus of this study. In this study which has descriptive nature, document analysis method is used. Semi-structured observation form was used when data were collected. The findings were interpreted through photographs
