ASSESSMENT OF SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKERS’ HOUSING CONDITIONS : SAMPLE OF YENICE, TARSUS, SILIFKE

In this study, the seasonal agricultural workers working conditions were evaluated in mersin region. Expectation in this study is serve as guidelines for legal arrangements and action plans to be made by political decision-making bodies and nongovernmental organizations. ？nterview, participant observation and photo analysis were used this study as qualitative research method. Interviews were conducted with 120 participants during the March/2017-September/2017 period. Photographs of the region were taken. Shelters physical and environmental characteristics were presented to the readers. As a result, it was determined that the conditions of seasonal agricultural workers housing contitions is unfavorable and unhealthy. And it has been found that the shelters are not suitable for human dignity. Finally, proposals have been made for improve the conditions of seasonal agricultural workers housing conditions
