Abstract:

This research discusses the Ottoman political and religious influences on Shami and Egyptian Hajj travel, which is known as the "Egyptian and Shami Convoy", and identifies the differences between these two convoys by investigating this event and its methods. The study also sheds light on the customs and norms of the ceremony regarding the farewell and reception of pilgrims characterizing various areas and districts within Egypt and sham, In addition to the dangers of the pilgrimage route from its beginnings until return. The study address the utmost importance shown by the Ottoman Empire towards the pilgrimage from the political and religious aspects and the positive effects that these ceremonies have on the relationship between the Ottomans and their subjects in those countries, which was at that time limited to four paths, thus this research is limited to the Shami and Egyptian convoys and the research findings and conclusions exist
