PHILOSOPHICAL HERMENEUTIC AND AN ATTEMPT OF INTERPRETING SERSER？ POETRY

Hermeneutics generally used in terms of explanation and interpretation has a long past. Hermeneutics that it is referenced in interpretation of holy books and legal texts until late 18th century is began interpreting literary texts in 19th century. Schleirmacher extended concern of hermeneutics by looking at understanding and interpreting as a philosophical problem. Interpretation problem is become a topic of philosophy with the contributions of Dilthey and Heidegger. Gadamer develops his philosophical hermeneutics by dwelling on interpretation problem. His philosophical hermeneutics accepts to understanding a dialogue between reader and text. He indicates that meaning occurs by intersecting author's horizon and reader's horizon by expressing the meaning of the text is not limited to the author's intention. The purpose of this study is to reveal essentials of philosophical hermeneutics and to determine how interpret a text in terms of philosophical hermeneutics
