Mapping of Solid Waste Storage Points in Ilg？n District of Konya Province

Today, geographic information technologies show itself in every field with the effect of the age we live in. With GIS and Remote Sensing systems, important parameters that will make our daily lives easier and most importantly can be controlled. Thanks to these systems, schools, hospitals, shopping centers and so on. all kinds of activity areas are located in such a way that they can easily and easily reach people. Local governments, private companies and academicians from different disciplines are able to carry out detailed studies with methods developed using GIS and Remote Sensing (RS). In this study, it is aimed to determine the places suitable for being a solid waste storage area in a large area, to determine their volume and therefore storage capacity and to map the appropriate places. 11 data layers prepared by using multiple criteria method in GIS environment were analyzed by Weighted Linear Combination method.
