ANALYZING EPISTEMOLOGICAL BELIEFS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPLES IN TERMS OF VARIOUS FACTORSKeywords: Epistemoloji,Epistemolojik inan?lar,Okul y?netimi,Okul y?neticisi Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze the epistemological beliefs of school principals in terms of various factors. The study was carried out at ministry schools in ?anl?urfa province and its districts on school principals during 2017-2018 education years. Data was collected by means of epistemological belief scale and information sheet developed by researchers. In the scope of analyzing data, descriptive statistical techniques such as percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, independent groups, t- test and ANOVA were utilized. According to results obtained through study, female school principals are of more traditional beliefs than male principals when it comes to objectivity, certainty and source of epistemological information. However, male teachers have far more sophisticated epistemological belief regarding the uniformity of information level. Bachelor’s degree school principals are of more objective epistemological belief when compared to graduate school principals. There are no meaningful differences in the epistemological belief of principals as to various factors such as their branch, length of service and staff (principal or agent). School principals are of more sophisticated beliefs in building information than vice principals as to reasoning and interchangeability of information. According to type of school, primary school principals are of more objective epistemological perception than secondary school principals
