Selection of Data Acquisition and Source Parameters in Diyarbak?r Area for Hydrocarbon Exploration by Using Three Dimensional Vibroseismic MethodKeywords: ü? Boyutlu Vibrosismik,Hidrokarbon Aramalar?,Kaynak Parametre Testi,Tarama (sweep) Sinyali Abstract: Source parameter is crucial for seismic reflection method which is the most used in hydrocarbon exploration. 75% of the seismic crews in the world prefer the vibrator as a source. The vibrator that used by vibroseismic method as energy source, is a controlled seismic source which can be applied depending on the seismic parameters of the subsurface and it is more widely used in hydrocarbon exploration because of having more advantageous than exploding sources. The signal that the vibrator sends to the ground is called the sweep signal, and a linear sweep signal is mostly applied for hydrocarbon explorations. In the vibroseismic method, the selection of the parameters of the sweep signal should be applied before the data acquisition starts. Sweep signal parameters should be tested in order to determine the most suitable and economical source parameters for the study area. In this study, our aim is to test the data acquisition and source parameters for hydrocarbon research in Diyarbak?r area by collecting three dimensional vibroseismic data from Turkish Petroleum. The most appropriate parameters for the study area were determined after several tests and records were continued with these parameters
