Life And Military Activities of Armenia Conqueror Habib b. Maslama Al-Fihri

Habib b. Maslama al-Fihri is one of the most prominent commanders served in the early Islam conquers. Habib b. Maslama who participated in Yermuk war at a very young age as a commanding officer; attended in the conquest of Damascus, Antioch, Malatya, Harran and Eastern Anatolia. He became famous as Habib er-Rumi because of his struggle with Byzantines in Anatolia. Habib b. Maslama conquered Armenia in the period of Caliph Uthman and passed into history as the Conqueror of Armenia. Habib b. Maslama, having participated in the batte of Siffin as the army commander on the side of Muawiya I, took part in delegation of Muawiya I again in the arbitration discussions which took place in the result of this war.
