EFFECT OF POSTURE FACTOR ON SLAM PERFORMANCE IN WOMEN VOLLEYBALL PLAYERSKeywords: Postür bozuklu?u, Sma? performans?, Voleybol Abstract: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of posture factor on slam performance in women volleyball players. A total of 26 athletes who play in Fenerbah?e Sports Club participated in the study. The mean age of the participants were 15 ± 1.2 years, body height 179±0,06 cm, body weight 63,41±7,6 kg, and body mass index (BMI) 19,8±1,7. The body composition and posture of the participants were evaluated and their slam performance was examined in the study. The SPSS 20 statistical package program was used to evaluate the obtained data. After the evaluation of the posture, the frequencies and the means of the slam performances were taken into consideration. More than one posture disorder was detected in the participants. According to the anterior posture position, 14 athletes with acromial posture disorder, 8 athletes with hip posture disorder and 5 athlete with foot posture disorder were detected from participants. According to the lateral posture position, 13 athletes with head posture disorder, 15 athletes with shoulder posture disorder, 11 athletes with spinal posture disorder, 18 athletes with knee posture disorder and 9 athletes with foot posture disorder were detected. Even if the athletes found successful in all slam performances above 50 %, they could not rise above 75 %. As a result, it was observed that female volleyball players with postural impairment achieved average success in slam performance and that the posture factor did not affect the dunk performance 100
