A CONTRIBUTION TO THE HISTORY OF TURKISH CINEMA: THE THREE FILMS RELATED TO NATIONAL STRUGGLE IN HISTORICAL PER？OD

The Cinema first appeared in Paris in 1895. It was seen in many countries in a short time. One of these countries was the Ottoman State. It was used as a propaganda tool in the First World War. Despite the pressures of the occupying states during the Armistice Period, studies on cinema continued. It became widespread after the proclamation of the Republic. Three films about the National Struggle were filmed in the process from the death of Atatürk. In this study, the National Struggle taken on at the beginning of the process and the Ataturk era of cinema in Turkey will be given about three films
