CREATING IMAGERY THROUGH SOUND SUGGESTIVENESS IN THE HOLY QURAN

This research explores a form of imagery in the Holy Quran, which involves creating images through utterance. This study is conducted by selecting a number of Quranic words in which this feature of sound suggestiveness is present. This involved analysing these words and studying their letter types, vowels, and accents to determine their musical tone and its role in diagnosing meanings and creating imagined pictures for them. The study follows the analytical approach in studying the selected words within Quranic verses. It also relies partially on the historical approach in tracing the sound suggestiveness technique in old and contemporary studies
