Attitude and knowladge levels of radiation safety of vocational school and universty radiology students’Keywords: ?yonize radyasyon,i? sa?l??? ve güvenli?i Abstract: The implementation of novel techniques of diagnosis and treatment occupationally exposes many health-care workers to the hazards of ionizing radiation. Intro and the purpose: In this research, a questionnaire was conducted to the students of Vocational School of Health who are educated as radiology technicians and the students of universty who are trained in medical screening in Kocaeli and Sakarya, to assess their knowledge of radiation protection and attitudes. Method: The research is comprised of interns (n=120) going through skills training in diagnostic radiology units of the hospitals in Kocaeli and Sakarya . For the research a questionnaire consisting of 36 questions was designed and carried out by interviewers as a face-to-face survey. For the data analysis SPSS 16,0 software package was used. The findings and result: It was determined that there are multiple diagnostic radiology units that the participants work with and there is a correlation between the participants who worked in high radiation areas such as Fluoroscopy and scopy units and their knowledge levels and attitudes. Whilst a correlation between the knowledge of radiation protection of high school students and college students was detected, no disparity in their attitudes was detected
