"HUMAN GOVERNANCE" IN LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND SOCIAL EQUALITY UNITS IN TURKEY

Governance has recently been one of the most popular areas of study, especially in the field of public administration. There are important studies with governance, good governance and democratic governance issues. However, "humane governance" is one of the issues that are not emphasized much. Humane governance has three dimensions. These are good economic governance, good political governance and good civil governance. Humane governance is regarded as humanization of public administration through a number of innovative methods. Social Equality Units are the units that have been created in order to combat gender-based discrimination locally. In this study, the conceptual explanations related to humane governance will be mentioned. Then Social Equality Units will be assessed through humane governance approach. The main aim of the study is to draw attention to the Social Equality Units in Turkey, the concept of humanitarian governance and to contribute to the literature in this regard
