The city of Diyarbak？r has maintained its importance throughout the history and brought it to future, and also has a pivotal and central location. Many research have been inspired by the cultural richness of Diyarbak？r and there are significant studies on the civil architecture of the city. The research seeks to evaluate the element of ornamental cascade fountain (selsebil), which is used as a design object in summerhouse architecture in Diyarbak？r. The ornamental cascade fountain at Veterans Pavilion is the best example to analyze the element of ornamental cascade fountains. The research involves four main subjects. First of all, the research analyzes the concept and development of ornamental cascade fountains. Secondly, Ornamental Cascade Fountain Pools, which are used as an Element of Design In Civil Architecture in Diyarbak？r, have been addressed in detail. The areas of use for the Ornamental Cascade Fountain Pools, which are used as an Element of Design in Civil Architecture in Diyarbak？r, have been covered in detail in palace, pavilion and home architecture. Accordingly, we have evaluated the ornamental cascade fountains, which serve as a design element for civil architecture in Diyarbak？r, as a whole and sought to reveal its specific place in the Anatolian water architecture.
