The Palu Bridge In The Light Of Ottoman Archive DocumentsKeywords: Elaz??,Palu,Murat Nehri Abstract: Palu is a historic settlement area established in Murat River Valley in Eastern Anatolia. Palu, where we do not know much about the history of the pre-Ottoman period, was subjected to an administrative structure called the Hükümet (the Government), which was a special status in the Ottoman period. The town of Palu, located on the banks of the Murat River, had a place on the other side of the river. It was also necessary to cross the Palu Bridge to reach via Erzincan and Bayburt to the Black Sea ports like Trabzon and Samsun from Diyarbakir. In this study, information about the function of the Palu Bridge and the construction and repair activities carried out during the Ottoman period were given in the light of historical documents
